CLINICAL PRACTICE AND CASES IN EMERGENCY MEDICINE (CPC-EM)

The online journal Clinical Practice and Cases in Emergency Medicine (CPC-EM) is published by the Department of Emergency Medicine at UCI School of Medicine and affiliated with the MEDLINE-indexed Western Journal of Emergency Medicine.

CPC-EM’s editor-in-chief is Dr. Rick A. McPheeters, chief of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Kern Medical. It is indexed in PubMed and full texts are available at PubMed Central. CPC-EM publishes four fully open access issues each year at https://escholarship.org/uc/uciem_cpcem.

CPC-EM focuses on patient care case reports, images in the field of emergency medicine (EM), state-of-the-art medical legal and clinicopathological cases that foster junior scholarship and contribute to the field of emergency medicine internationally.

In addition, CPC-EM promotes the dissemination of important clinical content among established and developing EM programs, which is critical to provide a broader context for emergency physicians to understand clinical diagnoses, treatments and outcomes.
